I think that when you get to a certain age, you begin to realise that if you buy something cheap then it doesn't tend to last, or you don't get the results you wanted, etc, etc,...disappointment!!!
There are a small number of hearing aid companies with brilliant names offering hearing aids at what they suggest is half price or at trade, and a few years ago I think the British public were jumping at these opportunities to buy aids cheaply as they were considered expensive. HOWEVER, alot of people then found that they couldn't get the back up service, no one to repair the aids, no support...no communication to some degree to sort out any issues.
