Since their founding in 1964 by partners Fred Stork, Rolf Strothmann and Rolf Dohmer in the Waterloo Region of Newfoundland, Canada (sometimes affectionately known as Canada’s Silicon Valley), Unitron has gone from strength to strength. As well as being Canada’s first hearing aid manufacturer, Unitron is also one of the fastest-growing in the market, and now delivers its fantastic products to over 70 countries through 20 international offices.

From the 1960s to the mid-80s, Unitron became a real force on the analogue scene, making a name for itself as a dedicated company for people with severe to profound hearing loss. At the dawn of programmable technology in the 1990s, the company steeled its reputation with a series of user-friendly software advancements which helped improve first-fit acceptance. By the late 90s and the so-called ‘digital revolution’, Unitron introduced Unison, a hearing aid which helped mainstream the technology and bring it to a far wider audience.

Instant Customisation

In-the-moment personalization means that you can hear how you want, when you want. With Blu you can temporarily boost clarity and comfort with the automatic program, and for special circumstances you can can also select from up to six optional pre-set programs which can be further adjusted to enhance speech, reduce noise or focus one direction.

Charge How You Like

The Moxi Blu family takes customization seriously, and the choice of two lithium-ion rechargeable styles as well as a traditional disposable battery should you prefer the old-fashioned method.

Made-For-All Technology

As its name might suggest, the Blu has exceptional Bluetooth connectivity and can seamlessly and faultlessly integrate with an enormous variety of devices, all with instantaneous tap control. With this you can access virtual assistants, accept/end calls and pause and play media, all while connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. In total, it’s possible to pair up to eight devices (including Android and Apple phones) and switch between them with a mere double-tap of the ear. Thankfully, this also means that Unitron devices are fully compatible with all Phonak products, their sister company.

What is unique about the Moxi Blu hearing aids?

The Moxi Blu hearing aids have specifically been designed to tackle one of the biggest problems of hearing aid wearers : clear speech hearing in crowded areas. Moxi Blu clients report that despite the sound not being as natrual as other manufacturers there is a clear difference in the ability to hear in cafés, bars or pubs whilst out with family or friends.

What happens if I lose one of my Moxi Blu hearing aids?

If you’re a customer who has bought a pair of these Unitron hearing aids with us you’ll find that they have a unique feature to them. The Moxi Blu will have a distinct ring that will sound when you’ve moved too far away from the other pairing hearing aid, meaning that if one of your hearing aids was to fall out, the other would be able to notify you to stop and look for it.

In the event that you cannot find your hearing aid we can organise a replacement, but please bear in mind that this will come with additional costs to cover the price of the lost hearing aid for a replacement.
